b.effect is a small brewery in the heart of Wānaka. They create sessionable and refreshing beverages for everyone to enjoy. Their purpose is to change the way we socialize and come together. There’s even the taproom, b.social, next door so you can watch said beverages being made whilst enjoying them alongside some tasty food.

QUARTZ REEF WINES

Widely considered as a far-sighted pioneer of the Central Otago wine region and one of the most charismatic producers in the country, Austrian-born Rudi is a proven exceptionally talented winemaker with an infectious enthusiasm for his craft producing wines of outstanding flavour and intensity.

THE KNOTTED TALES

Megan handmakes the most adorable crochet creations for little ones to play with and for everyone to enjoy. She loves designing her own toys as well as experimenting with other patterns, and is always happy to take specific requests as well. SO cute!

GEORGE AND EDI

Sarah and Rose’s successful mission to create timeless, quality, joyful and fragrant products that are beautiful in their simplicity, with fragrances that will endure and bring a little luxury and joy to the everyday, has resulted in George & Edi being recognised as one of the most successful artisanal, small batch producers our region has to offer - how lucky are we?!

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER

Renowned as an ancient medicinal herb, this dynamic mother and daughter team forage elderflower from all around Central Otago, where it grows in abundance, to create a delicious range of cordials and syrups inspired by fond memories of Barbara’s upbringing in England.

TASTE OF THE ALPS

With her passion and love for the region’s abundant seasonal fruit, chef Tineke was inspired to start her own range of hand-made, small batch preserves showcasing the very best Central Otago has to offer. The multiple awards she has earned confirm that this was indeed a great move for her and us alike. Yum!

WANAKA BEERWORKS

Born in 1998, the 100% solar powered Beerworks was Central Otago’s first ever micro brewery. Self confessed master quenchers of thirst and now owners, Joel and Julian, take great pride in the fact that their whole process takes place in Wanaka - using the purest water from their onsite alpine spring they simply make “damn good beer in a beautiful place”.

OLLIE'S

With a passion inherited from her mother, Olivia creates beautiful extra virgin olive oil from 100% Central Otago-grown fruit that thrives in the extreme climate. She enlists the help of her husband and kids to harvest and press the olives within hours of each other, which makes for oil of the freshest and highest quality.

PATAGONIA CHOCOLATES

A longing for the exquisite chocolate of their Argentinian homeland, owners Alex and Lorena established Patagonia Chocolates so they could deliver the very best artisan delicacies to their local community and visitors while keeping true to their South American roots. Passion, pride and irresistable treats, what a combo!

PENATI

After years of pushing boundaries, innovating and persistence Don created the perfect recipes to enable him to replicate the nut and seed crackers he was making in his home on a commercial level. Born from a desire to feel better in himself, Don's main objective was for them to be healthy, natural and honestly delicious. We think he nailed it!

SCROGGIN

Scroggin was born from a love of the mountains, outdoors and our place, Wanaka. The food, the people, the sun, the setting, the adventure, the vastness. It all aligns at Scroggin, a space to enjoy the best bits in life. Lucy has done an incredible job in creating one of the most popular eateries in Wanaka. Every adventure starts with a bag of scroggin.

BOTANIC PRESS

Born from Emma’s love of flowers, Botanic Press is a boutique floral studio that presses, preserves and frames wedding bouquets as well as creates bespoke artworks and prints in a modern yet timeless style, to keep forever. Her team are incredibly passionate, treating each flower with the utmost care to allow for capturing special memories and creating exquisite pieces of art.

WILD ROSE

Sustainability is of the utmost importance to creative souls Liv and Kelsey who have been inspired by the beauty of Wanaka in building their ethical soy wax candle company. Careful consideration has ensured that their hand poured candles not only smell amazing but also use the natural healing properties of flowers, crystals and herbs.

RIPPON

Home to some of the oldest vines in the region, Rippon is easily one the most picturesque vineyards in the world. Situated on the shores of Lake Wanaka and cared for by the Mills family for over 100 years, their hard working, passionate team use as little intervention as possible to create distinct wines that are fully organic, biodynamic and absolutely delightful.

EGG & SPOON

Former fine dining chef Dan and wife Jo have developed a range of mouth watering gourmet spices, mustards and pickles from their base in Ōtepoti. With their culinary expertise and passion for great food these products will level up the most simple food to a flavour sensation in no time at all.

MOREISH KITCHEN

Driven by a passion for food, Kim and her crew are renowned for being one of the best catering teams in the Central Otago region. Delicious, bespoke menus created using the best local produce paired with premium service makes for the kind of events people are sure to talk about for years to come!

SAUCED

Saucy boi James, chef by trade, genuine legend by night. With a passion for all things spicy, sassy and seasonally sourced, James is the face, hands, blood, sweat and tears behind all things Sauced. Flavors are a must when Sauced is involved. Ranger from smoked peaches and cacao nib hot sauce to apricots and wild thyme.

BLOOMSBERRY

The number one ideas man, Giles founded Bloomsberry in 2001 and is the overall creative star behind the scenes. Based out of Wanaka, the team create retro lollies that have been designed with gifting in mind, making them fun to give, to get and to share.

RIFTERS

Started by a couple of kiwi builders, Hamish & Stu who are pretty fond of gin. One day in the workshop, they decided they might have a nudge at creating their own. A couple of years later and a whole lot of trial, they figured things out. So much so, Rifters has gone on to win multiple awards around the globe.

QUICK BROWN FOX

With a humble beginning at the Otago Farmer’s Market back in 2011, Arjun has an unmatched dedication and passion for quality ingredients. His hand-crafted coffee liqueur products are now well respected around the country with a complexity that delights beyond expectation.

BROKEN HEART SPIRITS

Born from a tragic story of friendship and loss, Joerg’s broken heart led him to the creation of this award winning brand. Using the purest water from Paradise these delightful spirits are distilled in Queesntown, where each bottle is lovingly and sustainably hand produced.

SIDEKICK SODA

After many months of planning and development, with a goal to create a tasty, healthy and ‘better-for-you’ soda, Rogie and Fiona launched the business in 2023. Using real fruit, raw organic Apple Cider Vinegar and New Zealand Honey each Sidekick is packed with flavour, making it the perfect drink for any Hero.

SCAPEGRACE

Between stimulus and response there is a space. A space wide enough to fill with the greatest ambitions and the wildest ideals. It was in this space that two friends fathered an idea for untraditional spirits from an untraditional country using untraditional techniques, and wrote the first chapters for a book where the ending is unknown, but the title is undeniably; Scapegrace.

Since 1998, the McLachlan’s have focussed on an environmentally considerate approach to winegrowing in Central Otago. Beatrice’ passion for bold flavours began in Malaysia where she grew up enjoying diverse foods. A self confessed foodie, Michelle moved her salty wares to NZ after 20 years in France. Learning through her cooking for others, sassy Michelle is infamous throughout her local Christchurch markets, selling her much loved specialty salt blends and condiment range. using fresh, seasonal products from local growers!

After a fateful trip to the USA, Ash the founder of Bootleg Jerky,felt compelled to bring NZ into a stronger jerky game. From a small garage, he honed the lost art of jerky making as it should be. Now, with the leadership of David and Nicole from Canterbury Biltong, the Bootleg Jerky legacy continues, taking the jerky game to a whole new level.

WHITE HEART

Ann is the lovely lady of White Heart! Passionate about wholesome foods and sustainable horticulture, she grows her own hazelnuts on her property at Tai Tapu, close to Christchurch. Ann’s nutritious, wheat free, vegan friendly range of all things delicious, make her a true queen amongst her loyal fans.

Katie and Matt’s Boasted love story is inspired from the joy of a spoonful, straight from the jar! These young guns have started a peanut butter revolution where Argentinian peanuts meet Southland roasting! With sharing local at the heart of their smooth and crunchy story, they are the perfect nutters for us.

Local Christchurchian’s, Richard and Katrina started Spicecraft as a side hustle back in 2012.With their extensive catering experience and passion for flavours they've taken the idea of ‘Spice up your life’ and the humble Kiwi BBQ to a whole new level of awesomeness

What started as gifts for friends and family has grown into a passion for Josie and Gus, along with their three taste-testing kids. With an inherited green thumb, they create tangy pickles and preserves in Southland. Using recipes passed down from their grandparents, the Robbie family proudly continues these delicious traditions for all of us lucky scamps to enjoy.

Donna and Andrew are nuts about nuts. Hazelnuts to be exact. Restoring their Makarewa farm to its epic Southland glory, together they produce all the gourmet hazelnuts delights you could think of and yes, this dream team are BIG supporters of the small guys, which we love!

YUM! its all in the name. Sarah and Mike are the duo behind this sustainably delicious pantry range based in Nelson. Sarah originally from California, is inspired by beautiful food that is good for the body. Add her skills as a trained chef and Yum was launched. Good for you and the planet.

LITTLE BEAUTIES

In 2010 the Ian and Sally came up with an innovative way of drying feijoas from their Nelson orchard for friends and family to enjoy all year round. Thank goodness they didn’t stop there. Sustainable growing, clear traceability and wellbeing at the heart of their operation, its easy to say.. you little beauties!

With the vision to change the perception of popcorn as being a ‘beige’ kids snack, Raymond and Monique, the food scientist of the family, created a flavour buffet! With each taste being inspired by experiences and memories of growing up in NZ, this duo have absolutely nailed the brief.
